Volunteering at the Red Wing Public
Library
Thank you for your interest in donating your
time and energy to
library services!
The Red Wing Public Library participates in the
City of Red Wing
Volunteer Program. An application
(which can also be
obtained from City Hall or the Library) is required along with a release
giving the City of Red Wing permission to do a background
check. After completion of these forms, mail or deliver them
to
City Hall with attention to Roger Seymour, Human Resources.
You can mail your forms to:
City Hall
Roger Seymour, Human Resources
315 W. Fourth St.
Red Wing, MN 55066
The background check form can be notarized at
City Hall. A
parent or guardian’s signature is also needed if you are less
than 18 years old (no background check is required for individuals
under 18 years of age).
There are many opportunities to volunteer for the library,
including shelving assistance, help with genealogy requests,
computer helper, filling baby book kits, etc.
Information is available at the Check Out
Desk about volunteer opportunities for the Friends of the
Library and about “Book House Calls”, a program coordinated with Faith in
Action .
If you have questions about this information, or
would like
